Anuj Khandelwal is the CEO and Co-founder of Empo Health®, a San Francisco Bay Area-based healthcare technology company established in 2020. Empo creates in-home health monitoring systems that fit seamlessly into patients’ lives to improve diabetic outcomes. The company has developed the FDA-listed Empo® Footprint and HIPAA-compliant Empo® Remote Health Link for monitoring diabetic foot complications.
Khandelwal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT (2017), and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Medical Devices from Stanford University (2020). His professional background includes roles in hardware engineering at Amazon Prime Air and Auris Health, along with technical positions at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Raytheon, and Quorum Analytics.
Khandelwal leads Empo’s business and fundraising efforts. The company has raised $15M to-date and recently launched its solution to market. Empo is working closely with Roanoke-based Virginia Tech Carilion (VTC) Ventures and Carilion Clinic.
