Stuart Mease (RBIA)
Doug Anderson is the Senior Director of Health Analytics at Carilion Clinic, where he leads more than 50 data and business intelligence professionals advancing enterprise analytics for one of Virginia’s largest health systems. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare information, he is recognized for his ability to develop leaders, build talent pipelines, and sustain high employee engagement even through times of organizational change. Prior to Carilion, Doug worked with SoftMed Systems (now 3M) implementing Health Information Management applications, and with Wyndgate Technologies (now Haemonetics) supporting blood bank and transfusion systems. Earlier in his career, he served in clinical laboratories at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and several North Carolina hospitals. Doug holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed The Management Institute at Roanoke College. He also maintains Epic certifications in Cogito, Cogito Project Management, Cogito Tools Administration, and Clarity Data Mode.
Phillip Ramus is Director of Data Technology and Strategy at Carilion Clinic, leading enterprise data and analytics strategy, architecture, and modernization efforts that help the organization become data-driven. He also founded Lumivera Technology Group, a consultancy serving mission-driven healthcare and mental health organizations through innovative IT and cloud solutions. Inspired by his wife’s work in behavioral health, Phillip built Lumivera on the belief that innovation should create measurable community impact. A member of HDAA and supporter of Wake Forest University, Phillip is driven by a passion for helping people through technology that enables better care and stronger outcomes.
Trip Humphrey is Director of Data Science & AI at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, where he leads enterprise efforts to turn clinical and operational data into secure, useful Machine Learning & AI solutions. Trip partners with clinicians, IT, and security to build practical governance, model lifecycle management, and education for responsible adoption. His role as a HIMSS leader keeps him busy cultivating conversations across the state’s health systems on best practices at the intersection of health information and AI. As Principal of Daedalus Consulting, Trip advises senior leaders as they craft and execute data and AI strategies, from roadmap and governance to measurement and change management. He provides executive advisory services as well as hands-on development, and he mentors teams to build new skills and competencies that sustain results.
