The Emerging Technology Conference (ETC 2026) brings together founders, innovators, researchers, investors and industry leaders working at the growing edge of technology and life sciences in the Roanoke-Blacksburg region. Hosted by the Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council, November 19–20 at Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia.

The Roanoke-Blacksburg region is growing its AI, advanced manufacturing, biotech, medtech and agtech sectors. Each November, the Emerging Technology Conference (ETC) brings national and regional voices together around the work making a difference today and shaping tomorrow. Hosted by the Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council (RBTC), ETC convenes founders, innovators, researchers, investors and industry leaders, including practitioners turning expertise in their fields into new technologies.

ETC 2026 takes place November 19–20 at Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke, Virginia. The program spans six tracks: AI & Data Systems; Industry 4.0 (AM2); Health & Bio Innovation; Energy, Agriculture & Infrastructure; Venture & Ecosystem; and Career & Education Pathways. Keynote speakers are Ken Gall, chief commercial officer of restor3d and a Duke University professor, and Nigel Thurlow, CEO of The Flow Consortium and former chief of Agile at Toyota.
