Event Series and Forums
Our monthly gatherings, forums, and annual events like TechNite provide opportunities for you to meet other technology leaders, make valuable business contacts, and stay current with the growing regional technology sector.
Tech & Toast events are held throughout the year and typically alternate between Blacksburg and Roanoke locations to encourage regional participation. Each event includes a speaker or panel and valuable networking with business and technology leaders from across the region.
TechNite is an annual celebration of the Roanoke–Blacksburg region’s technology community. The evening is highlighted with an awards ceremony where leaders are recognized in categories such as STEM-H Educator, Entrepreneur of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Company of the Year.
Tech on Tap is the only series of events purely focused on networking within the regional Technology Community. It offers guests a laidback atmosphere to enjoy a cold drink and network with peers.
The Women in Technology Forum is an RBTC peer community providing support, development, and education through peer networks of women leaders and up-and-coming women leaders in technology companies.
Dedicated to professionals engaged in IT and cyber-security related fields of work, the Cyber Security Forum is focused on exploring best practices and sharing insights in the always-evolving landscape of organizational IT.
Many RBTC members have questions about PR, business development strategy, developing new channels, lead management, and other related topics. This forum was created to help members share lesssons learned and best practices.
Beer + Biotech brings together the area’s top researchers and engineers in physical and life sciences.
RBTC Peer Roundtables are marked by challenging, rigorous, confidential, business-focused, and empathetic comments that improve a company leader’s decision-making. These confidential conversations provide a place for peers to discuss issues they are facing and share best practices.
