Who Should Apply?

If you’re a STEM professional who has completed your associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree within the last 5 years or will complete your degree by June 1, 2024, this program is tailor-made for you. Candidates must also be employed by a company with headquarters or operations in Virginia or be seeking remote work with such a company. Preference is given to candidates in technology or biotechnology who are living and working within the GO Virginia Region 2 area.

Program Costs

If your current or future employer is an RBTC (Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council) member, program fees per young professional are $1,250. If a non-member, program fees are $1,750. Fees are payable by the employer on the young professional’s behalf. Please refer your employer to the employer application for more information.

Program Logistics

Candidates should be prepared to travel an average of one day per week to the Roanoke or Blacksburg areas for program activities. Most of these activities will occur at the end of and/or following weekday business hours, with occasional weekday luncheon and weekend experiences.
