Hands on Security Capture The Flag Event

Come and hack with us in this hands-on, Hacking/Defense Event!  The format is an in-person, Jeopardy Style, Cybersecurity, Capture the Flag (BYOLaptop) competition!

This competitive CTF event is run on the CloudCTF system by the Virginia Cyber Range and will consist of solving hands-on, cybersecurity challenges in categories such as Web, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Crypto, and more! It is designed to cater to both brginner and advanced IT-Professionals and Cybersecurity experts and there will be challenges that require both Linux and Windows laptops (or VMs). Come get your hack on, learn something new about cyber security, and enjoy food and beverages with your cyber peers.

Bring your own:

• To play along, you must have laptop + power supply to connect to and play the CTF

• (opt) Bootable linux/Kali VM (for many command line challenges) andr Windows (or VM)

• (opt) Headphones (audio encoded challenges)

• (opt) Any Wifi sniffer, Rpi, NFC reader, BLE scanner & other pentest hardware welcome!

The CTF login URL will be provided at the start of the event. Winners of the CTF will get to chose from multiple security related/pentest gear and prizes.
