Volunteers Needed – New River Robotics Competitions

The New River Robotics Association along with FIRST Chesapeake, VA-DC FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge Team 4924 and FIRST Robotics Competition Team 401 are working together to bring all four (4) levels of FIRST to Montgomery County during the 2023-2024 season.
- FIRST Lego League Challenge (ages 8-16) – Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Blacksburg High School
- FIRST Tech Challenge (ages 12-17) – Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Christiansburg Middle School
- FIRST Lego League Explore (ages 5-8_ – Saturday, December 2, 2023 at CMS
- FIRST Robotics Competition (ages 13-18) – Friday, March 1, Saturday, March 2, & Sunday, March 3, 2024 at BHS
- FLL Challenge Scrimmage – Saturday, March 2, 2024
- FLL Expo Explore – Sunday, March 3, 2024
These tournaments and the youth would greatly appreciate your volunteer time and talents. There is no specific occupation or background needed. Business and community leaders are highly encourage to provide time to interact with these youth. Training is only needed for a few key judging, scorekeeping and refereeing positions. All ages considered. Half-day, full-day, 1-3 days are possible.
