TechNite 2025: What to Expect

The annual TechNite awards gala, made possible by Woods Rogers, is always much anticipated, but TechNite 2025 is particularly special as it marks 25 years of celebrating innovation, grit, and progress in this region.

We are living through a time of rapid change and unpredictability – especially in the innovation space. From economic shifts and evolving workforce dynamics, it’s understandable that many of us are uncertain about what lies ahead. Remember that you are not navigating it alone.

TechNite is an opportunity for all of us to come together as a community. It will be a bright spot — a time where we can show up (comfortably) and reflect on what we’ve built, honor the obstacles we’ve overcome through vision and collaboration, and recognize that this community has the strength to face whatever comes next.

The Event

TechNite 25 is Thursday, May 29 at the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility at Virginia Tech. We look forward to reflecting on 25 years of growth and innovation and honoring all the creativity, entrepreneurship, and TechNite celebrations that brought us to today. And of course, it wouldn’t be TechNite if we didn’t recognize the year’s standouts and anticipate a bright future ahead. Be prepared to revel in dinner and drinks provided by Blue Ridge Catering, live band entertainment, and more.

The Vibe

The evening is an innovative fusion of lively celebration and relaxed atmosphere. The Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility is unlike any other venue, boasting awe-inspiring ambience and modern elements! It’s important to note that the facility features a synthetic turf and magnificent vaulted ceilings that preclude climate-control. This event is the perfect occasion to break out an outfit you love while keeping your comfort in mind.

The Ceremony

The evening will include an award ceremony where we will unveil awards in multiple categories including the highly regarded Hall of Fame and Hart of the Entrepreneur Honoree. and a special program recognizing past winners, leaders and special guests who helped pave the way for innovation over the past 25 years.

The Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council is more than an association— it is a community.
